Blaby District Council released the Public Planning Consultation Documents on Friday 18th March 2011,  triggering the commencement of the consultation period. Objections to this massive proposed housing  development may now be entered. All households in LFE, Thorpe Astley, Kirby Muxloe and part of  Enderby should receive a letter from BDC outlining the planning process. LFE RAG suggest that you  forward your objection to BDC not later than 29th April 2011.

The planning documents are vast in their size and complexity and BDC are proposing a link to them on  their website. During the next few weeks LFE RAG willl be examining these documents and reporting key  observations on this site, to assist residents in formulating their objections, if so desired. We understand  your Parish Council will also be carrying out the same process. We urge you to revisit this site regularly for  updates and latest news as the document examination unfolds.

The LFE RAG will be distributing a leaflet to residents of LFE, Thorpe Astley and part of Kirby Muxloe  during the weekend of 26th/27th March which will provide information on the Rag’s publicity event on  4th/5th April at the LFE Parish Hall. There you will have an opportunity to view maps of the developers  proposals and assistance will be available for residents who wish to have help in completing their objection  form.

The RAG are providing a Media Opportunity for a number of TV, Radio and Newspaper interviews to raise  awareness of these outrageous proposals, which will have a significant impact on residents daily lives,  particularly in respect of traffic congestion and air and noise pollution levels.

LFE RAG comment

Because of the vast nature and complexity of this outline planning application, it will take LFE RAG approx., two weeks to reach a reasonable level of understanding of all relevant facets which make up the detail of this application.  As such, our Publicity Events on the following dates may assist residents gain a further understanding of the issues affecting the local communities. The Event will be held at the Parish Hall, Kings Drive, LFE as follows:

Monday 4th April from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm and

Tuesday 5th April 2.00 pm until 7.30 pm

Our website will be updated as we become more familiar with the detail of the planning application, particularly in respect of traffic congestion, air and noise pollution, the loss of valuable agricultural land, developers layout proposals and the modification of road junctions etc.

Blaby District Council extend latest date for objections to June 3rd 2011, to allow 1400 houses in Millfield ward, Braunstone Town and part of St Johns, Enderby to be consulted on Lubbesthorpe proposals.
